Hi, I'm Margo, the founder of databébé.
My son started daycare at 4 months, when I went back to work. As any daycare parent knows, it's a hard and emotional transition when your baby is that young. Luckily, our daycare used Procare, so we got photos and videos throughout the day — the ultimate dopamine rush.
Before daycare, we'd already started using Huckleberry. I never thought I'd use a tracking app with my kid, but we learned quickly in the newborn stage that we couldn't keep track of time. How long was that last wake window? Wait, when did he last eat? As he got older, the sleep predictions got so accurate that he'd sometimes fall asleep at the exact minute Huckleberry said he would. Was this necessary? No. Did it make planning days and outings easier? Absolutely.
Then came the kicker. Once he started daycare, we still wanted to use the app so we'd know when bedtime should be and what a weekend schedule could look like. But everyone I talked to said they'd stopped tracking within a month of daycare starting. It was too annoying to work around the daycare schedule, and it felt like overkill.
I was getting so frustrated at pickups. I'd stand in the parking lot, manually logging the whole day into Huckleberry before I went in, when all I wanted was to go get my son. Or worse, I'd be juggling my phone and an excited baby, trying to figure out whether we could grocery shop on the way home or he needed to eat right now.
databébé is the tool I built to fix this for myself first. It automatically syncs the day's naps, bottles, and diapers from your daycare app straight into Huckleberry, so by the time you pick up your baby, SweetSpot has what it needs to get the recommendations right. See how it works →
It's a small, independently built project, not affiliated with any daycare app or Huckleberry. Just a parent who wanted one less thing to track by hand.
